At Auburn West Public School, we are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where every student can belong, succeed, and thrive. Our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) framework underpins everything we do, guiding our approach to teaching, learning, and wellbeing. Together with our staff, students, and community, we strive to consistently foster confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of wellbeing, preparing our students to become active, informed citizens who take responsibility for their learning.

Our shared school expectations—Learn, Show Care, Respect, Be Safe, and Every Day Matters—are at the heart of our positive culture and guide behaviour across all aspects of school life.

Star Badge
At AWPS, students are recognised through the Star Badge program for consistently demonstrating our school expectations in all settings. Classroom teachers nominate students based on the Star Badge Criteria, which reflect the five key expectations: Learn, Show Care, Respect, Be Safe, and Every Day Matters. Students who achieve a Star Badge are invited to a special celebration at the end of each term, recognising their commitment to our school values.
