The laughing kookaburra

The kookaburra lives in Australia and it is a bird. The kookaburra's head is short and with a little bit of colour on it. His eyes are black and look very dangerous. His beak is black and under his beak it is pinkish and beautiful. It has a short white neck and a white round body. His wings are long and colourful. The kookaburra has a medium sized brown tail.

 

The kookaburra laughs when it is surprised. The laughing kookaburra makes a lot of noise. The kookaburra eats mice, lizards, snakes, rats and little birds. The kookaburra is very annoying.

Elephants

Classification: Elephants are mammals.

Description: Elephants have two big floppy ears so they can keep cool. They have a really short tail and four long legs. Elephants have two small eyes and a huge mouth.

Feeding habits: They eat roots, leaves and plants.

Breeding: Elephants don't lay eggs but they have live babies because they are mammals.

Movement: They move with their four legs.

Chimpanzee

Classification:

A chimpanzee is a mammal and they are a group of animals that are called primates. You can find them in Africa.

 

Description:

They have four fingers and a very short thumb. They walk on their legs and knuckles and they have a lot of hair on themselves. Chimpanzees make sounds to communicate like this "hooo hooo hu hu". They have ears that look like human's ears. We can see if the chimpanzees are cross and happy from their faces. They have brown eyes that some people have. Chimpanzees have a flat nose that is tunnel shaped and they have a wide, curved mouth. Chimpanzees have very hairy arms and legs.

 

Feeding habits:

Chimpanzees go to the forest to search for food. They eat termites, leaves, nuts, honey, egg, insects and water.

 

Movement:

Chimpanzees move with their knuckles, arms and legs.
