About Our Class
KE is a vibrant class of 21 students. There are 12 girls and 9 boys. We enjoy visits from Mrs Etri and Mrs Alderson for Specialist Literacy Support, Mrs Iyidilli visits us twice a week to help us with Count Me In Too.
Routines
Students in KE attend Language classes on Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00 – 1:00. We visit the Library every Friday at 9:30 to return and borrow new books. Our scripture lessons will begin in Term 3.
Star Badge Students
These are our lovely star badge students so far this year. There are still six more starbadges to award this year and all students have been working hard to receive one.
Term 1 Highlights
KE settled into school very well in Term One. In English, we enjoyed listening to stories and we began to learn about reading and writing. In Maths we focussed on learning about numbers and began thinking about shapes and lines in our environment. In our unit ‘This is me', we investigated our personal characteristics and thought about how we are similar to others in some ways and unique in other ways.
Term 2 Highlights
We were very busy making and designing things in Term 2. We made lunchboxes for our healthy food. We also designed a new hat for Mrs Honey so she does not get sunburnt when she is out visiting her friends or taking Peter to the beach.
This is a video of us modelling our creations.
It was a very exciting day when Prime Minister Gillard popped in for a visit, to talk about ‘The Wrong Book'.
